Make Alignment Easier

In my opinion, most golfers are too critical of their own games.

Often times a player will take a nice swing and make solid contact, but the ball will not end up near the target. Right away, he or she wants to make adjustments to their swing, when actually, the shot went precisely where they were aiming (not at the target!).

The first thing to check when you miss a target is your alignment, because you do not want to make a swing change unless it is necessary.

To correct this problem caused by a poor aim, try aiming at an intermediate target instead. Pick out a divot, a stick, or a leaf that lies in the same line as your intended target, and use that for your set up. It is much easier to aim at something close to you than it is to aim at a target many yards away.

Line up your body according to your intermediate target in order to make a more accurate swing at the target.
